This is a blog in the making. Peanuts fans will know where the title originates.
At this point in my vocational life, the title refers to my wanting to be available to those who need my assistance as a mental health counselor, an addictions counselor, a spiritual director... or for those who would like help finding such assistance.
I am a psychotherapist, spiritual director, and consultant with 30+ years experience as an Episcopal priest serving in a range of settings. I have a Master of Divinity degree, and a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology. In addition I am a certified addictions counselor, and have received training in Domestic Violence and Church Mediation.
I have been divorced, then a single mom, then remarried (to my beloved), and now in the process of sending my last-born child to college. My daughter and I just got matching tattoos on Saturday, a new experience for both of us. I have a heart for a wide range of people from a wide range of orientations: including religious and sexual, to name only two.
I have significantly more training and years of experience than Lucy Van Pelt. Still, I do believe she had the right idea in offering her services in a more public arena. This is a blog in the making. I do not yet know where it will go.
